As a result of the largely increasing requests for 9x19 mm AP ammunition we like to dedicate this page to the efforts of our foreign associates who working on the 9x19 AP 6.3 cartridge. At this time there is a general requests for 10 milion AP cartridges in the caliber 9x19 AP 6.3 mm. The 9x19 mm NATO caliber is not only an old combat proof defense caliber. It is the only caliber which can satisfy to the compromise situations of almost every government! The 5.7x19 mm cartridge v.s. the 9x19 AP 6.3 cartridge. Although the VBR-Belgium 5.7x19 mm cartridge has an unique construction, it can represent a large group of new PDW cartridges who use a simple small caliber bullet. The VBR-Belgium 5.7x19 mm cartridge was one of the predecessors of the 9x19 AP 6.3 cartridge. Fact is that a simple small caliber bullet has only the stopping power of a simple small caliber bullet and that a 9x19 AP 6.3 bullet has in a lot of circumstances the stopping power of the full 9 mm caliber bullet! The C-PDW concept. In the year 1999 the small caliber concept was on the rising. Governments where not forced to budget cuts. Even until today, no big efforts are made to design a new 9x19 mm PDW system except the C-PDW of VBR-Belgium. The design objective of the Combination Personal Defense Weapon is to give an answer to all possible threats at close to midrange, undependable if the opponent is protected by a CRISAT body armor, a level III or a level IV body armor or even is protected in an armored vehicle. The basic single 9x19 mm fire unit. The C-PDW is a system based on modular parts. This is the basic 9x19 mm fire unit of the C-PDW in the single PDW body. It is designed as a 9x19 mm fire unit with a 100 rounds helical magazine, a single PDW body and a high aiming bridge. The high aiming bridge has two main objectives. First, it lowers the barrel axle under the center of the weapon to reduce muzzle jump and climb by the use of the powerful 9x19 AP 6.3 +P+ cartridge which is loaded to a chamber pressure of 2800 bar. Second, the high aiming bridge can be replaced by a lot of electronic aiming devices, pic.rails, lasers, gunlights, without making the weapon wider.. The 9x19 mm fire unit can be provided with a sound supressor. The 9x19 mm fire unit can also be provided with different barrel lenghts. With a long barrel, the energy level of a 9 mm AP 6.3 bullet at 200 meters is big anough to penetrate a CRISAT body armor. The single 9x19 mm C-PDW designed in 1999 .... Picture out the year 2000. This project proof more then anough that VBR-Belgium was active in the year 1999... The 9x19 mm C-PDW with the C22-1 mini grenade launcher. The C-PDW in combination with the C22-1 mini grenade launcher and the sound suppressor. The 9x19 mm fire uniti is fixed on the C22-1 mini grenade launcher. Both systems can be used as an seperated weapon or can be assembled to one Combination Personal Defense Weapon. The single 9x19 fire unit can also be combined with other weapons like a 40 mm single shot grenade launcher. The C-PDW is provided with the both ejection ports on the right side. The place ot these ejection ports is almost in the midle of the weapon. This allows to shoulder the weapon on both sides without hot brass problems. The C-PDW 9x19 mm fire unit is designed to use the 9x19 AP 6.3 cartridge which....                     ...can make a serious mess from a CRISAT body armor! The C-PDW provides also an answer to the NATO officials, who are very concerned about the fast increase of level III and IV body armor and armored vehicles on the batlefield. The C22-1 semi-automatic grenade launcher disposes about a magazine which can hold 4 mini grenades. These mini grenades are intend for short range use and can be armor piercing or anti-personal. The main goal is destruction of infrastructure or armored vehicles. The curent situation on the battlefield is frustratiing when the PDW or assault rifle is not able to defeat the body armor of the opponents.
